300/Sec Precision Angular Rate Sensor Data Sheet ADIS16135 FEATURES GENERAL DESCRIPTION Digital gyroscope system, 300/sec measurement range The ADIS16135 iSensor is a high performance, digital gyro- In-run bias stability, ~6/hour scope sensing system that operates autonomously and requires ~11/hour over temperature: 40C to +85C no user configuration to produce accurate rate sensing data. It Autonomous operation and data collection provides performance advantages with low noise density, wide No external configuration commands required bandwidth, and excellent in-run bias stability, which are enabling Start-up time: 181 ms sleep mode recovery: 5 ms for applications such as platform control, navigation, robotics, Factory-calibrated sensitivity and bias and medical instrumentation. Calibration temperature range: 40C to +85C This sensor system combines industry-leading iMEMS tech- Single serial peripheral interface, SPI compatible nology with signal conditioning that optimizes dynamic Wide bandwidth: 335 Hz performance. The factory calibration characterizes the entire Embedded temperature sensor sensor signal chain for sensitivity and bias over a temperature Programmable operation and control range of 40C to +85C. As a result, each ADIS16135 has its Automatic and manual bias correction controls own unique correction formulas to produce accurate measure- Digital filters: Bartlett FIR, average/decimation ments upon installation. For some systems, the factory calibration Internal sample rate: up to 2048 SPS eliminates the need for system-level calibration and greatly Digital I/O: data ready, alarm indicator, general-purpose simplifies it for others. Alarms for condition monitoring Sleep mode for power management The ADIS16135 samples data at rates of up to 2048 SPS and Enable external sample clock input: up to 2048 Hz offers an averaging/decimation filter structure for optimizing Single-supply operation: 4.85 V to 5.15 V noise/bandwidth trade-offs. The serial peripheral interface (SPI) 2000 g shock survivability and user register structure provide easy access to configuration Operating temperature range: 40C to +105C controls and calibrated sensor data for embedded processor platforms. APPLICATIONS Precision instrumentation The 36 mm 44 mm 14 mm package provides four holes for Platform stabilization and control simple mechanical attachment, using M2 (or 2-56 standard size) Industrial vehicle navigation machine screws along with a standard 24-pin, dual-row, 1 mm Downhole instrumentation pitch connector that supports electrical attachment to a printed Robotics circuit board or cable system. The ADIS16135 provides an operating temperature range of 40C to +105C.
