Kodenshi Infrared Receivers
Infrared receivers are devices that detect and receive infrared radiation from remote control devices, such as television and cable remote controls. They are designed to receive infrared signals and convert them into electrical signals that can be used by a variety of devices, such as television sets and computers. The most commonly used type of infrared receiver is a photo-sensor. A photo-sensor contains a photo-sensitive material that detects the infrared radiation from a remote control.
