Texas Instruments Programmable Oscillators

Programmable oscillators are circuits designed to create signals at precise frequencies to control the timing and speed of electronic devices. They offer accurate and consistent control of timing and frequency for electronic systems. Programmable oscillators can be used in a variety of applications such as in medical and radar systems. They provide a range of functions such as frequency synthesis, clock generation and generation of a analog-to-digital converters’ clocks. The main components of programmable oscillators are a voltage-controlled crystal oscillator, an impedance-controlled amplifier, a programming bit cell and an output buffer. The key advantage of programmable oscillators is their ability to offer precise control and stable performance over temperature. They also have the ability to be programmed in advance, allowing them to be used in applications with dynamic, time-dependent requirements.
