SERCOS is a European 650 nm wavelength technology (EN 61491) and international standard (IEC 61491). The Metal housing and port optical interface allows data rates of 2, 4, 8, and 16 Specifi ed for use with 1 mm plastic optical fi ber and MBd and data transfer between numerical controls and 200 m hard clad silica drives via fi ber-optic rings, with voltage isolation and noise immunity. The HFBR-1505AFZ and HFBR-2505AFZ Auto-insertable and wave solderable products comply with SERCOS specifi cations for optical DC 10 MBd data rate characteristics and connector style, and have guaranteed RoHS-compliant performance up to 10 MBd. Applications PROFIBUS Industrial control data links PROFIBUS, an acronym of PROcess FIeld BUS, is an open Factory automation data links fi eldbus standard defi ned for data rates ranging from 9.6 Voltage isolation applications kBd to 12 MBd in selectable steps for wire and optical fi ber. PROFIBUS is a German national DIN 19245 stan- PLCs dard and a European CENELEC standard EN 50170. The Motor drives ST connector is the recommended optical port of the Sensor, meter and actuator interfaces PROFIBUS optical fi ber version but other connectors are allowed as well. The HFBR-1515BFZ and HFBR-2515BFZ comply fully to the technical guideline using Plastic Optical Fiber up to 6 MBd, and have a guaranteed per- formance at data rates up to 10 MBd. INTERBUS-S INTERBUS-S, a special open Sensor/Actuator Bus, is fi nding a broad acceptance in the factory automation industry. The HFBR-1505CFZ and HFBR-2505CFZ were specially designed for this application and can be used with 1 mm POF and 200 m HCS fi ber at the specifi ed data rates of 500 kBd and 2 MBd.
