The CS5463-ISZR is a single-phase power and energy monitoring integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by Cirrus Logic. It features current monitors, power regulators, and power monitors with integrated zero-cross detection abilities. The IC also has an integrated precision analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that samples both the input and output currents simultaneously at up to 4,000 samples per second. This allows the IC to precisely measure the power consumed and dissipated in a single-phase system. Moreover, the device is packaged in a small 4.6 mm x 4.6 mm, 16-pin QFN package, allowing it to be used in a range of applications. The power monitoring features are enhanced by the integrated Zero-Cross Detection capability, which reduces power losses due to in-rush current by actively switching off the load at zero-cross events. Furthermore, the device also features a Programmable Over-Current Protection (OCP) feature, allowing it to protect against short circuit and overload conditions.
