The TC4420VOA is an enhancement-mode MOSFET driver designed by Microchip. It is designed to operate at very low voltage levels (1.8V to 7V) and provides the necessary level translation to drive single highside MOSFETs in a variety of switching power applications. The device features individually isolated input and output enable pins, allowing full autonomy and flexibility when interfacing with other circuits. Additionally, the TC4420VOA includes several features which improve its performance over previous generations of MOSFET drivers, such as adjustable dead time, cycle-by-cycle current limit, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, hot plug / plug disconnect protection, and adjustable slew rate. The device is available in several different packages, including the SOT-23-6L, the DSBGA-6, and the DSBGA-4.
