USB2514B-I/M2 Microchip

The USB2514B-I/M2 is a USB Interface IC 4-Port USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Hub Controller manufactured by Microchip. It features four downstream ports with an integrated transceiver. The USB2514B-I/M2 is compliant with the Universal Serial Bus 2.0 Specification and provides full-speed and low-speed data rates. It also supports data transaction pipelining, which provides a more efficient data transfer path than traditional buffering. It provides over-current detection and protection with programmable current limits for each port. The device also has an integrated 3.3V regulator with a short-circuit protection, guaranteeing proper operation of downstream ports even when the hub is connected to a 3.3V power source. In addition, the USB2514B-I/M2 has an optional automatic device detection, which removes the need for external circuitry to differentiate among devices.
