S3G-TP is a series of three-terminal, surface-mount current-sense resistor chip solutions from Micro Commercial Components (MCC). The resistors are available in values from 0.1O to 15O and can handle a maximum power dissipation of 500mW. The resistors incorporate a proprietary, low-resistance sensing element that provides accurate current sensing with minimal voltage drops across the device, as well as low noise and high stability characteristics. They are suitable for applications such as motor control, over-current protection and battery monitoring, in addition to being used in power converters, LED driver circuits and brushless DC motor control applications.
