1. The VCC 6S6/30V is a high-performance, multi-protocol fiber media converter designed to provide reliable, high-speed conversion of Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet over SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) optical fibers.
2. It is a compact, cost-effective solution for connecting multiple 10/100Base-T copper to 1000Base-LX Ethernet, 1000Base-SX Gigabit Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet over SFP interfaces for distances up to 80 km.
3. The 6S6/30V can also be used to convert existing Gigabit network signals into Gigabit-over-SFP signals for transmission.
4. This part of VCC can also support multiple protocols such as Ethernet, Fiber Channel, PON/WDM and ATM.
5. It is fully compliant with the IEEE802.3z standard and is a plug-and-play, self-configuring solution for Ethernet to Gigabit Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet over SFP interfaces.
6. The 6S6/30V also features built-in surge and static protection, along with optional 4-port PoE capability. The design utilizes a single fiber port with optional duplex LC connectors or optional duplex SC connectors.
