They are an operator barrier that detects movement in front of a machine while the machine is operating. They can be used to protect people from pinch points, crushing hazards, and flying debris, among other dangers. Safety light curtains come in a variety of sizes and configurations, including muting functions and self-diagnostics. When placed correctly, safety light curtains reduce the risk of injury.
