NTE Precision Potentiometers
Precision potentiometers are specialized devices used to measure varying electrical resistance. They are highly accurate and are designed to measure a very specific level of resistance—as low as one-hundredth of an ohm when compared to a standard potentiometer, which can measure resistance up to one megohm. The greatest benefit of precision potentiometers is the ability to obtain very accurate readings when measuring low levels of resistance. They can also be used in places where other types of potentiometers may be inappropriate, such as in applications where contact with corrosive materials or extreme temperatures may damage or interfere with the instrument’s readings. In addition, precision potentiometers can also be used in a wide range of applications, including process control, motor speed control, and other industrial applications that require very precise measurements.
