Wireless charging ICs are dedicated integrated circuits (ICs) designed to enable devices to receive, or charge with, energy wirelessly. Wireless charging ICs contain all the components necessary for a wireless charging solution, including the transmitter and receiver, along with other associated components. Receivers, usually found in device such as mobile phones, contain an antenna that captures the wireless charging signal, then transfers it to the ICs, which turns it into usable electric current. Transmitters, usually stationary, contain a radio frequency generator that is able to emit current through an electromagnetic field to charge the device without actually contacting the device itself.
