Basic logic gates, like AND, OR and NOT, are simple ICs with two or more inputs and one output. They are useful for creating simple digital circuits. Multiplexers are ICs that allow multiple signals to be routed through a single output. Cross-couplers are ICs made up of two transistors connected in such a way that they can be used to perform logic operations, such as passing only high or low voltage levels through the circuit.
