ALPS Board Mount Humidity Sensors
Board-mount humidity sensors are electronic sensors used to measure the moisture content in the atmosphere. They are typically used in industrial and laboratory settings, as well as in more home-friendly items such as dehumidifiers and humidifiers. Board-mount humidity sensors measure relative humidity, which is the ratio of the amount of moisture in the air relative to the maximum amount that the air can hold before it becomes saturated with moisture. They are typically mounted onto a circuit board and measure the air’s relative humidity in ambient temperatures ranging from 0°C to 60°C. With their high accuracy and fast response, board-mount humidity sensors are able to detect abrupt changes in moisture levels due to things such as sudden water leaks or humidity level changes due to outdoor temperature and weather. Board-mount humidity sensors are useful for applications regulating temperature and humidity levels to maintain safe and comfortable air for humans, controlling air conditioning and ventilation systems, and monitoring hazardous materials.
