Additional Infomation About Product

Kraftberg M2X5/D7985-A4 is a type of self-retaining screw and barrel assembly designed for fastening and sealing together two parts. The assembly consists of two components – an M2x5 metric threaded steel screw and a D7985-A4 steel barrel or collar. The barrel has chamfered ends and is intended for use on ductile metals, such as aluminum or steel. The D7985-A4 barrel also has multiple functions, serving not only as a fastener/clamp for assembling two parts, but also as a sealant that helps to keep moisture and other contaminants from entering the joint area in between the two parts being connected. The M2x5 screw is used to draw the two parts together, securing the parts in place and then the barrel is clamped down with the M2x5 screw to form a tight seal.
