The CD74HC4046AM is a CMOS phase-locked loop (PLL) integrated circuit produced by Texas Instruments. It includes an oscillator based around the voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and a phase comparator which is used to produce an error signal to adjust the frequency of the oscillator. The device has an adjustable active frequency range of 1.4 kHz to 100 kHz, and is designed for use in FM and AM demodulation, AM and FM demodulation, frequency modulation (FM) detection, and FM and AM detection applications. The device also features a wide supply voltage range (2V to 6V) and low power consumption, making it ideal for use in battery powered applications.
