HF500-15 Fixed Frequency Multi-Mode Flyback Regulator Integrated with Highly Rugged MOSFET DESCRIPTION FEATURES The HF500-15 is a fixed-frequency, current- 700V/4.5 Integrated MOSFET with high mode regulator with built-in slope compensation. single pulse avalanche energy It combines a 700V MOSFET of high avalanche Fixed-Frequency Current-Mode-Control ruggedness and a full-featured controller into Operation with Built-In Slope Compensation one chip for a low-power, offline, flyback, Frequency Foldback Down to f at OSC(min) switch-mode power supply. Light Load At medium and heavy loads, the regulator Burst Mode for Low Standby Power works in a fixed frequency with frequency Consumption jittering, which helps to spread energy out in a Frequency Jittering for a Reduced EMI conducted mode. During a light-load condition, Signature the regulator freezes the peak current and Over-Power Compensation reduces its switching frequency to f to OSC(min) Internal High-Voltage Current Source offer excellent efficiency at light load. At very VCC Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO) with light loads, the regulator enters burst mode to Hysteresis achieve low standby power consumption. Programmable Input B/O and OVP Full protection features include thermal Overload Protection (OLP) with a shutdown, brown-in and brownout, VCC under- Programmable Delay voltage lockout (UVLO), overload protection Latch-Off Protection on TIMER (OLP), short-circuit protection (SCP), input and Thermal Shutdown (Auto-Restart with output over-voltage protection (OVP), and over- Hysteresis) temperature protection (OTP) .
