The PL30A is a photoelectric sensor from SICK, a manufacturer of sensing and imaging technologies. The PL30A is used for the detection of transparent, reflective and none-transparent objects like glasses, plastics and food. The sensor operates in the visible light range and comes with adjustable parameters, including sensitivity and operating distances. The PL30A has a high switching frequency and is extremely fast even during start and stop functions. The sensing surface measures 30 x 30mm and the package size is compact, making it suitable for application in restrictive spaces.
