Additional Infomation About Product

The Vishay TCST2103 is an optical switch with a transmissive phototransistor output. It features a compact design that allows for installation in tight spaces. It is made of an AlGaAs (Aluminum Gallium Arsenide) LED coupled with a monolithic integrated detector IC. It provides an extremely low power consumption of 2mW. The sensor has a logic high output, which is the on state, when the object is within sensing range. The optical switch is suitable for object detection and position sensing applications. It is able to operate in a wide range of temperatures, from -40°C to +85°C, and can be used with either a 12V or 24V power source. The TCST2103 can be used in industrial, consumer, and automotive applications.
