MIL-Spec/MIL-Type is a term used to describe products designed and manufactured in accordance with U.S. military specifications. These products must adhere to certain standards set by the U.S. Department of Defense in order to be considered MIL-Spec. These products must be able to withstand harsh environmental and operating conditions and are usually more expensive due to the increased quality and more rigorous manufacturing standards.
