Switch contact blocks, or switch kits, are used to provide a means of connecting and disconnecting electrical circuits. The switch contact blocks allow a variety of electrical connections to be made and provide a visual indication as to whether a circuit is open or closed. The blocks can contain one or multiple contacts that are arranged in a variety of configurations. Each contact may be configured with a single pole (SP) or double pole (DP) configuration. SP blocks can be used to disconnect or connect circuits by simply switching the contact manually, while DP blocks can be used to operate more complicated circuits. Switch contact blocks come in a variety of sizes and shapes depending on their intended application. They are available with a range of contact materials including brass, bronze, aluminum, and stainless steel.
