The ACT3780 incorporates Active- Dynamic Control of Charging Current Allowing Semi s proprietary ActivePatharchitecture which System to Draw Maximum Load from AC/USB automatically selects the best available input supply Input for the system. 0.5% Battery Charge Voltage Accuracy The ActivePath architecture performs three Up to 12V Input with Over Voltage Protection important functions: First, the battery is charged while powering with the system, minimizing current Thermal Regulation for Charge Control draw from the battery while ensuring that sufficient Charge Status Outputs for LED or System current is available to power the system. Second, if Interface no input supply is available, system power is Battery Voltage Level Indication automatically switched to the battery. And finally, if Programmable Fast Charge Current the system load-requirement exceeds the capability of the input supply, ActivePath automatically Programmable Charging Timer supplements the input with the battery to satisfy the Low Reverse Leakage Current system s power requirements. Short-Circuit and Thermal Protection In addition to ActivePath, the ACT3780 charger Preconditioning for Deeply Depleted Battery features a complete, high-accuracy (0.5%), Low Quiescent Current Standby Mode thermally regulated, stand-alone single cell linear Li+ charger with an integrated 12V power Space-Saving, Thermally-Enhanced MOSFET.
