The EC11K1524406 series encoder with 5 Volts Through Hole manufactured by ALPS is an electro-mechanical device designed to convert rotary or linear motion into electronic signals. Its main function is to allow a user to control some aspect of an electronic device, such as the volume or the frequency, without the need for direct contact with the electronic components themselves. This model is designed with 2 outputs, a clock and data output. The device is available in a wide range of mounting styles: Top Actuated, Side Actuated, Top and Bottom Flywheel. The package size measures 11x11x15.4mm (22µpmits per revolution), and its operating temperature range is -40 to +85 °C.
