Additional Infomation About Product

The RD712A029C with Through Hole Position Sensor ROHS manufactured by ALPS is a through hole mounted linear position sensor designed for applications where a linear signal is required to detect accurately the location of a sliding mechanism. The sensor utilizes a conductive plastic element which is actuated by a plunger to give a linear resistance output between 0 and 500 ohms. The contact resistance is low compared to potentiometers, providing superior accuracy for applications such as adjusting the resistance of a motor, controlling the dimming intensity of a lighting system, or providing linear output for linear control systems. The sensor is encased within a robust crimp-ring style through-hole housing with a convenient tab that allows for easy installation. This product is RoHS compliant and comes with a 12 month warranty from ALPS.
