The HMC1022-SX is an analog device from the family of wideband, digital step attenuators from Analog Devices. It consists of 16 digital bits and provides precision control over a wide range of signal levels. Its attenuation range is 0 to 66 dB and –10 dB to -66 dB in 6 dB steps, rising up to 66 dB in 0.2 dB steps with very low insertion loss. This device also has an exceptionally low return loss and fast switching times, due to the inherent wideband nature of the design. It features low power consumption, low distortion, and best-in-class phase margin. Its wideband applications include radio receivers and test instruments, power amplifier APLO, and switchable filters. The device comes in a compact SMT package size of 1.5 x 1.5 mm.
