LT3013 250mA, 4V to 80V Low Dropout Micropower Linear Regulator with PWRGD FEATURES DESCRIPTION n Wide Input Voltage Range: 4V to 80V The LT 3013 is a high voltage, micropower low dropout n Low Quiescent Current: 65A linear regulator. The device is capable of supplying 250mA n Low Dropout Voltage: 400mV of output current with a dropout voltage of 400mV. Designed n Output Current: 250mA for use in battery-powered or high voltage systems, the low n No Protection Diodes Needed quiescent current (65A operating and 1A in shutdown) n Adjustable Output from 1.24V to 60V makes the LT3013 an ideal choice. Quiescent current is n 1A Quiescent Current in Shutdown also well controlled in dropout. n Stable with 3.3F Output Capacitor Other features of the LT3013 include a PWRGD ag to n Stable with Aluminum, Tantalum or Ceramic indicate output regulation. The delay between regulated Capacitors output level and ag indication is programmable with n Reverse-Battery Protection a single capacitor. The LT3013 also has the ability to n No Reverse Current Flow from Output to Input operate with very small output capacitors. The regulator n Thermal Limiting is stable with only 3.3F on the output while most older n Thermally Enhanced 16-Lead TSSOP and devices require between 10F and 100F for stability. 12-Pin (4mm 3mm) DFN Package Small ceramic capacitors can be used without any need for series resistance (ESR) as is common with other regulators. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse- APPLICATIONS battery protection, current limiting, thermal limiting and n Low Current High Voltage Regulators reverse current protection. n Regulator for Battery-Powered Systems n The device is available with an adjustable output with a Telecom Applications n 1.24V reference voltage.
