Features Help Offload Activity on the Microcontroller 2 128-Word Transmit and Receive FIFOs per UART Each of the four UARTs is selected by in-band SPI/I C Transmitter Synchronization Through SPI Commands addressing. Logic-level translation on the transceiver and Automatic Hardware Flow Control Using RTS and controller interfaces allows ease of interfacing to micro- CTS Outputs and Inputs controllers, FPGAs, and transceivers that are powered by Automatic Software Flow Control (XON/XOFF) differing supply voltages. Auto Transceiver Direction Control Extensive features simplify transceiver control in Programmable Setup and Hold Times for Transceiver half-duplex communication applications. The MAX14830 Control features the ability to synchronize the start of individual Auto Transmitter Disable UARTs transmission by SPI-based triggering. On-board Half-Duplex Echo Suppression timers allow programming of delays between transmitters 9-Bit Multidrop-Mode Data Filtering as well as clock generation on GPIOs. Special Character Detection The 128-word FIFOs have advanced FIFO control GPIO-Based Character Detection reducing host processor data flow management.
