Low Power, Precision Zero Crossing Detector MAX22707 AC Phase Detection Product Highlights The integrated solution with user selectable filter Precision Zero Crossing Detection configuration improves zero-crossing detection with Integrated Zero Crossing Detection with 1% 1% accuracy. The available filter types are the Accuracy fourth order BPF and LPF. The DC averaging filter High Frequency Noise Filter capacitor function is used for the LPF. th 4 Order Low-Pass Filter (LPF) th Flexible Zero Crossing Detection 4 Order Band-Pass Filter (BPF) The MAX22707 supports two basic input frequencies Configurability for Ease of Use which depend on the filter type. If the band-pass is User Selectable Filter Configuration (LPF or BPF) selected, the frequency selection mode control pin Selectable Input Frequency (MC) is used to choose between 50Hz and 60Hz. If Power Saving Stand-By Mode the low-pass is selected, the same pin is used to Programmable DC Averaging Timer choose between 50/60Hz and 100/120Hz signal Saves PCB Space and Bill of Materials (BOM) Cost band. Key Applications TOP VIEW Industrial Lighting Dimming + INP 10 1 EN The integrated filters eliminate the flicker and provide INM 2 9 FS up to 75% reduction in PCB footprint compared to a MAX22707 DCAP 8 3 MC discrete solution requiring multiple amplifiers, GND 7 comparators, and precision filter capacitors and 4 RS resistors. The MAX22707 features a low-power, VCC 5 6 ZCO precision analog filter based on the switched- capacitor technology designed for precision filtering MAX of AC input noise.
