The MAX3421EEHJ+T is an integrated USB interface IC with USB peripheral/host controller with SPI interface from Analog Devices. It works as an interface between an embedded system and a host or peripheral USB device such as a networking device, printer, scanner, etc. It features a USB 2.0-compliant, low-power and high-speed USB interface with support for both data transfer and communication protocols. The IC features an I/O voltage range of 1.8 V to 5.25 V and an operating temperature range of -40 to 85 °C, making it suitable for automotive, industrial, consumer and medical applications. It also features up to eight independent D+/D- self-enumerating downstream ports that allow connection to multiple USB devices. Additionally, the chip integrates various protection features such as an overcurrent detection circuit, thermal shutdown circuit, and reverse current protection.
