Additional Infomation About Product

The MAX490ESA+T is a RS-422 / RS-485 interface IC from Maxim Integrated that is manufactured by Analog Devices. It is a bidirectional transceiver designed to interface with microcontrollers and other digital logic to long distance RS-485 and RS-422 systems. It supports data rates up to 10 Mbps and the maximum bus length is up to 4,000ft with cable stubs up to 6.5ft. The IC also provides 25 mA of output drive capability with slew rate limited outputs to reduce EMI and it has low current shutdown mode that allows the transceiver to be placed into a non-operational state with minimal power loss. Additionally, it has a -7 V to +12 V single-supply operation and it contains an internal 0 O to 2.7 O current limiter for receiver protection when used in a shared-bus applications.
