The MAX7221CWG+ is an 8-digit LED display driver manufactured by Analog Devices. It is serially interfaced and compact, providing up to 8-digit LED displays. It features low power consumption, high-contrast digit displays, and an accuracy of ±1LSB. The MAX7221CWG+ is capable of decoding and multiplexing codes BCD and 7-segment. Multiple-digit scan limits are selectable and decode look-up tables are included. It is designed to drive common cathode LED displays. It features leading-zero blanking, open-segment detection, and built-in mid-string blanking for 2- or 4-digit displays.
