The MAX823TEUK+T is an integrated circuit that is designed to provide processor and power-supply supervisory functions. It is designed to monitor the supply voltage and reset the processor when the supply voltage drops below a user-defined threshold, or when a user-created fault condition is detected. Furthermore, an onboard watchdog timer can be used to reset the processor when it freezes for longer than a predetermined amount of time. It also features an independent manual reset input for manual intervention. The unit operates over a 1.8V to 5.5V power supply range and features a low quiescent current of only 2µA. It is outfitted with a 5-pin SOT23-5 package, making it ideal for space-constrained applications.
