19-6217 Rev 0 2/12 MAX97003 Evaluation Kit Evaluates: MAX97003 General Description Features The MAX97003 evaluation kit (EV kit) is a fully assembled S 2.7V to 5.5V Single-Supply Operation and tested PCB that evaluates the MAX97003 audio S Proven Audio PCB Layout subsystem. The device features a mono Class D speaker S On-Board USB Interface Circuit Generates M amplifier and a stereo Class H DirectDrive headphone 2 I C-Compatible Signals amplifier. The EV kit features an on-board microcontroller 2 2 S PCB Pads for User-Supplied I C-Compatible for communicating with the I C interface of the device. Signals Pads are provided for accessing the analog inputs and amplifier outputs. S Surface-Mount Components The EV kit requires a 2.7V to 5.5V power supply. The S Windows XP-, Windows Vista-, and Windows on-board LDO generates an additional 1.8V supply from 7-Compatible Software the USB 5V supply. The EV kit delivers 1W into an 8I S Fully Assembled and Tested speaker, and 32mW/channel into a 32I headphone. M M M Windows XP -, Windows Vista -, and Windows 7-compat- ible EV kit software is provided to facilitate configuration. Ordering Information appears at end of data sheet. The EV kit software controls the on-board microcontroller 2 over USB, which generates I C commands.
