Evaluates: MAX9880A 19-5325 Rev 1 5/11 MAX9880A Evaluation Kit General Description Features The MAX9880A evaluation kit (EV kit) is a fully assem- S USB Powered bled and tested surface-mount PCB that evaluates the 2 S Configurable I C/2-Wire or SPI Interface MAX9880A IC, which is a low-power, high-performance, S USB, TOSLINK, and RCA Audio Input stereo audio codec with audio processing. To facilitate Connections evaluation, the EV kit includes input and output RCA connections, capless and single-ended headphone con- S 3.5mm, TOSLINK, and RCA Audio Output Connections nectors (J3, J4), and two on-board digital microphones (U15, U16). S Windows 2000-, Windows XP -, and Windows Vista (32-Bit)-Compatible Software Integrated into the EV kit design is a digital audio trans- ceiver (U11) and a USB stereo audio DAC (U12). The S Surface-Mount Components digital audio transceiver provides audio input and output S Proven PCB Layout through the on-board TOSLINK connectors (J5, J6) S Fully Assembled and Tested and the USB stereo audio DAC provides audio input through the mini-USB connector (J10).
