The 6N137-500E High Speed Optocoupler 10 Mb/s 3750Vrms manufactured by Broadcom is an isolation barrier for a circuit, allowing a high speed (10 Mbps) and 3750Vrms electrical isolation between two circuits. It is a device containing a light source and a photodiode in two separate packages. The light source receives an electrical signal and generates light pulses as a response, which are used by the photodiode to create corresponding electrical output pulses. The product features high speed operation of 10 Mbps, high input/output isolation voltage of 3750Vrms, 100mA continuous LED current, and –40°C to 85°C operating temperature range.
