The HCPL-3180-500E by Broadcom is a high-speed optocoupler device with a 2.0A IGBT Gate Drive that combines the benefits of high-speed optocouplers and IGBT drive circuits into a single package. This device is ideal for applications requiring high-speed, high-current, high-voltage isolation or HV IC supply separation. It features a DC supply voltage range of 4.5V to 13V, with a maximum logic output current of 2A. The HCPL-3180-500E also offers a high common mode rejection ratio of 45 dB at 1 MHz and is a highly reliable, resilient device. It has ESD protection of up to 8kV and is approved for a variety of industrial and automotive applications.
