L-1011-9 Chomerics

The L-1011-9 is an aircraft construct produced by the Lockheed Corporation. It is a single aisle, wide-body jetliner developed for medium range commercial airline service. The aircraft was first produced in the early 1970s and was sold to various airlines around the world. The L-1011-9 was the last variant of the L-1011 series of airliners and featured some of the most advanced technology of its time. The aircraft featured a tri-jet engine design, allowing it to take off from shorter runways than other aircraft of its era. The plane also featured a state of the art avionics package, designed for safer and more efficient navigation. The aircraft also introduced a cabin pressure system that allowed for increased passenger comfort by reducing the cabin pressure to 8,600 feet elevation. The plane's fuselage and wings were made of a lighter aluminum alloy, giving it the ability to fly higher and faster. In total, the L-1011-9 was produced in seven different variants and over 200 were manufactured during its production lifespan.
