4:2* CS42436 108 dB, 192 kHz 6-In, 6-Out TDM CODEC FEATURES GENERAL DESCRIPTION Six 24-bit A/D, Six 24-bit D/A Converters The CS42436 CODEC provides six multi-bit ana- log-to-digital and six multi-bit digital-to-analog ADC Dynamic Range delta-sigma converters. The CODEC is capable of op- 105 dB Differential eration with either differential or single-ended inputs and outputs, in a 52-pin MQFP package. 102 dB Single-Ended Six fully differential, or single-ended, inputs are avail- DAC Dynamic Range able on stereo ADC1, ADC2, and ADC3. When 108 dB Differential operating in Single-ended Mode, an internal MUX be- fore ADC3 allows selection from up to four single-ended 105 dB Single-Ended inputs. Digital volume control is provided for each ADC ADC/DAC THD+N channel, with selectable overflow detection. -98 dB Differential All six DAC channels provide digital volume control and -95 dB Single-Ended can operate with differential or single-ended outputs. An auxiliary serial input is available for an additional two Compatible with Industry-Standard Time channels of PCM data. Division Multiplexed (TDM) Serial Interface The CS42436 is available in a 52-pin MQFP package in DAC Sampling Rates up to 192 kHz Commercial (-10C to +70C) and Automotive (-40C to +105C) grades. Logarithmic Digital Volume Control The CS42436 is ideal for audio systems requiring wide Hardware Mode or Software IC & SPI dynamic range, negligible distortion and low noise, such as A/V receivers, DVD receivers, and automotive audio Supports Logic Levels Between 5 V and 1.8 V systems.
