4:2* CS42448 108 dB, 192 kHz 6-In, 8-Out CODEC FEATURES GENERAL DESCRIPTION Six 24-bit A/D, Eight 24-bit D/A Converters The CS42448 CODEC provides six multi-bit ana- log-to-digital and eight multi-bit digital-to-analog ADC Dynamic Range delta-sigma converters. The CODEC is capable of op- eration with either differential or single-ended inputs 105 dB Differential and outputs, in a 64-pin LQFP package. 102 dB Single-Ended Six fully differential, or single-ended, inputs are avail- DAC Dynamic Range able on stereo ADC1, ADC2, and ADC3. When 108 dB Differential operating in Single-Ended Mode, an internal MUX be- fore ADC3 allows selection from up to four single-ended 105 dB Single-Ended inputs. Digital volume control is provided for each ADC ADC/DAC THD+N channel, with selectable overflow detection. -98 dB Differential All eight DAC channels provide digital volume control -95 dB Single-Ended and can operate with differential or single-ended outputs. Compatible with Industry-Standard Time An auxiliary serial input is available for an additional two Division Multiplexed (TDM) Serial Interface channels of PCM data. System Sampling Rates up to 192 kHz The CS42448 is available in a 64-pin LQFP package in Commercial (-10C to +70C) and Automotive (-40C to Programmable ADC High-Pass Filter for DC +105C) grades. The CDB42448 Customer Demonstra- Offset Calibration tion Board is also available for device evaluation and implementation suggestions. Please refer to Ordering Logarithmic Digital Volume Control Information on page65 for complete ordering information. IC & SPI Host Control Port The CS42448 is ideal for audio systems requiring wide Supports Logic Levels Between 5 V and 1.8 V dynamic range, negligible distortion and low noise, such as A/V receivers, DVD receivers, and automotive audio Popguard Technology systems.
