The WM8731SEDS/RV is a digital stereo audio CODEC with headphone output manufactured by Cirrus Logic. It features a low-power, low-noise architecture optimized for portable and low voltage applications, and offers an extensive feature set to provide flexibility to the system designer. The CODEC includes stereo ADC/DAC, digital filtering, gain control, headphone driver, and digital microphone input in a single chip. It supports analog and digital audio, stereo line-in and headphone out operation, and mono-in and mono speaker out operation. It also supports multiple sampling rates and can be used in mono or stereo applications. The integrated headphone driver is capable of driving 8 ohm loads with up to 110mW of power. Interface connections of the CODEC are 3-wire I2C, 4-wire SPI, and TDM.
