The DM9162IEP is a high-speed Ethernet physical layer single chip transceiver manufactured by Davicom. It is housed in a 48-pin Low-profile Quad Flat Pack (LQFP) and is ROHS compliant. This chip integrates media access control circuitry, 10/100M Auto-Negotiation capability with support of Auto MDI/MDIX, as well as data and packet transfer over the Ethernet network. It also supports Full- and Half-Duplex modes with mixed speed operation. The chip's onboard Rx-to-Tx buffer allows for reliable packet transmission and reception, while the Automatic Packet Reassembly (APR) feature helps improve system performance. Additionally, the DM9162IEP includes advanced filtering features, good EMI/EMC performance, and supports SNMP, MIB-2, and PCMCIA controller compatibility.
