The IW3638-02 is a high-performance, low-power LED driver with SOIC-8 package and RoHS compliance manufactured by Dialog Semiconductor. Featuring up to 6 loads, it can control up to two strings of high-power LEDs with its 3 independent current sinks for each load. Integration of an advanced PWM dimming system makes it possible to dim the backlight of LCDs and LED LCDs. It is ideal for driving big screen applications, tablets, LCD TVs, car infotainment systems, and notebooks. With its boost converter, it delivers up to 35V output for driving multiple loads with variable pulse width modulation (PWM) frequency up to 2MHz. Low power sleep mode and adjustable switching frequency of up to 2MHz provide flexibility for a variety of backlight applications. As it is RoHS compliant, the device is free from hazardous substances.
