The DIGITUS DS-47110-1 is a HDMI over CAT 5 (HDBase-T) extender. This extender is designed to extend an HDMI signal up to 164 feet over a single CAT 5 Ethernet cable, allowing for more distance for your HDMI connection than is available with conventional HDMI cables. The extender uses HDBase-T technology, which is a proprietary transmission protocol, allowing for the transmission of Ultra HD 4K, 3D, and 1080p video up to 164 feet, as well as seven channel preventative speaker audio, meta data, CEC signaling, Ethernet, and bidirectional IR data. In addition, the extender supports PoC (Power over Cable) with only one power supply required. This feature allows for easy and cost effective installation, eliminating the need for additional power cables and outlets close to the devices. The extender also supports Daisy Chaining, allowing for two of these devices to be connected, creating a connection up to 328 feet in length. The DS-47110-1 is board mountable, making it easy to integrate into existing systems and applications.
