RoHS- Directive 2011/65/EU refers batteries to 2006/66EC and in turn to 2002/95/EC. The 2002/95/EC directive does not apply to batteries used in electrical and electronic equipment. Once batteries are removed from end of life electrical and electronic equipment batteries should comply again with the Battery directive 2011/65/EU as waste batteries.
