It is a single mode laser diode driver that can be used to drive and modulate lasers in a variety of applications, including telecommunications, sensing, and medical devices. It features an integrated gate driver for direct modulation, as well as an adjustable bias modulator for power efficiency, and power up and down functions. The device is designed for a wide temperature range for improved reliability, and is available in die, packaged, and CBGA versions.
