The MC8721C with Interface - Specialized SOP-8 RoHS is a highly versatile, high performance cellular modem IC, manufactured by GATEMODE. It is designed to support both 2G/EDGE/GPRS as well as 3G technologies, allowing for reliable connections even in the most remote locations. It offers high-speed data rates of up to 7.2Mbps on a cellular network and has a wide range of features to maximize its performance. It supports multiple SIMs, allowing for simultaneous operation on up to 8 networks, and even provides fallback redundancy features in case of modem link failure. The MC8721C also has an integrated power management system to prolong battery life, and dual-band EGPRS capabilities for greater responsiveness. Additionally, the MC8721C provides several options for system integration, making it suitable for a variety of applications.
