PPB6-10M Gembird

The PPB6-10M is a patch cord manufactured by Gembird that is made up of four components. The first is an F/UTP which stands for foiled twisted pair. This type of cable contains one or more pairs of twisted copper wires that are sandwiched between two layers of aluminum foil. This helps to reduce crosstalk and interference. The second component is the number 6 which indicates the number of pairs of twisted wires. The third component is stranded, which means that the individual wires are made up of a number of smaller strands of wire. This provides flexibility and improves the conductor’s performance. The fourth component is CCA which stands for Copper-Clad Aluminum. CCA is a low-cost material that is used in place of pure copper in some applications since it is not as conductive but still provides a convincing level of performance. The cable is covered in a PVC (polyvinyl chloride) which helps protect the wire from environmental factors and usage. It is grey in colour and it has a length of 10m (meters). The wire’s diameter is 26AWG, which stands for American Wire Gauge and indicates the size and conductor diameter of the cable.
