GPS2BHAR (Global Positioning System to Beyond-Horizon Aircraft Ranging) is a technology developed by General Electric (GE) that allows an aircraft to obtain precise range and bearing measurements from a GPS satellite system. GPS2BHAR provides an aircraft with an enhanced level of accuracy compared to conventional methods, which can be especially beneficial in areas with limited access to traditional navigational aids. GPS2BHAR works by using GPS satellites to send messages that contain navigation information to an aircraft, which then uses that information to determine its location and heading. This data can then be used for a range and bearing measurement with precision levels never seen before. GPS2BHAR is designed to work in all types of flight environments and is compatible with a variety of flight parameters.
