Teardown: Disassembly of the KCK400U4-LC420W LED driver starts by removing all of the mounting screws around the edges of the cover, and then using a small flathead screwdriver to rotate the tabs on the cover to release the clips that are holding the cover in place. Once the cover is removed, the internal circuitry will be visible. Inside, the driver consists of a main board, with multiple circuit boards for controlling the power supply, dimming, and auxiliary functions. It also includes two transformers for supplying the AC input voltage and two capacitors for keeping the power lines stable. Finally, two LED strips are connected directly to the LED driver, to ensure that the output from the driver is consistent and of a high-quality.
