Global Mixed-mode Technology G2228 High Efficiency Single Inductor Auto Buck-Boost Converter Features General Description 1.8V ~ 5.5V Input Voltage Operation The G2228 is a high efficiency single inductor Buck- Adjustable Output Voltage from 2.8V to 5.5V Boost converter which can supply the load current up 95% Efficiency DC/DC Converter to 1.5A. It provides auto-transition between Buck and 1.5A Output Current at 3.3V for VIN > 3.6V Boost Mode. The G2228 operates at 2.4MHz Auto-Transition Between Buck and Boost Mode switching frequency in CCM. DC/DC converter Pulse-Skipping Mode at light load for Efficiency operates at Pulse-Skipping Mode at light load. The DC/DC Converter can be set to lower quiescent output voltage is programmable using an external current at light load resistor divider, or is fixed to 3.3V internally. The load Fixed 2.4MHz Frequency and Synchronization is disconnected from the VIN during shutdown. Possible Internal Soft-Start The G2228 is available in WLCSP2X4-8 package.
